A big thank you to everyone who braved the inclement weather last week to come to the opening of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds at Heidi Cho Gallery in Chelsea, particularly the Beacon posse (about twenty strong).

I have three pieces in the show: A wall installation, "Noisy Lawnmower – Sweet Music," 1995-2009, mixed media, 72 x 111 inches; untitled (red and gold chateau interior), 2007, Duratrans and aluminum light box, 36 x 36 x 5 inches; and untitled (orange bubbles), 2003, acrylic on vinyl suitcase, 18 x 23 x 6 inches (all above).

The other artists in the show, all excellent and well known, are Richmond Burton, Maurizio Pellegrin, Tad Wiley and Saya Woolfalk. I'm grateful to be in such good company.

Kudos to Heidi Cho director and LSD curator, Marilyn Rosenberg for putting together such a good-looking and engaging exhibition to kickoff the season.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds runs through November 12, 2009.
